First three Sono-Coat formulations pass bio-compatiblity testing

Encapson is pleased to announce that our first Sono-Coat formulations have passed USP V bio-comptibility testing.

Sono-Coat is a coating which can be applied to a medical device to improve its visbiality under ultrasound. Encapson has three formulaiotns which can be used to coat different substrate materials for medical devices.

Sono-Coat 1001A/B: can be used to coat PolyUrethanes, Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU)

Sono-Coat 1002A/B: can be used to coat PEBAX, Nylon, PolyOlefine’s, PVC and POM

Sono-Coat 1003A/B: can be used to coat Steel, NITINOL, Titanuim

All three of these formulations were certified biocompatible.
